This tour explores the challenging history of York, from its earliest days, through trough political, economic, and social turmoil that led to independence from England, and the eventual breakaway from Massachusetts in 1820. What was life like in York 200 years ago? And what role did the town’s residents play in Maine becoming the 23rd state?
